YOUR CONSCIOUS PORTRAIT SESSION - "Not your Typical Portrait Session"

Conscious Portraits Photography takes professional family portraiture to an exciting new level. An award winning photographer and artist, David Trotter brings over 2 decades of experience to each session. 

David's signature "painting with light" techniques equal truly amazing portraits you and your loved ones will treasure for ages. A portrait session with David is truly a unique, fun and collaborative experience. Expect a non-traditional, relaxed atmosphere without feeling rushed, without time limits, and without the standard canned, stiff poses typical of many portrait sessions.

For the highest possible quality most Conscious Portrait Sessions are shot on-location. This could be your home, a park, the beach, or a favorite place. David utilizes natural light and professional portable studio lighting based on your needs.

David's preference and personal style is to create images using mostly natural and available light, pushing the limits and breaking many standard "portrait rules". David achieves amazing results in any kind of weather. He enjoys working on cloudy, overcast days, even rainy days.  He can even create phenomenal images working in dark or dingy conditions.  David loves variety and treats each session like an artist starting with a blank canvas. From a mixture of urban and classic, contemporary and simplistic, rustic and ethereal to magical and spiritual a Conscious Portrait sessions offers a one-of-a-kind experience and portraits that will become valuable family possessions to be cherished for decades and generations to come.

PET FRIENDLY SESSIONS - Pets are always welcome. Want to include the family pet in your portrait session? This is never a problem. David loves animals and enjoys including them in family sessions.

David shoots in a very casual relaxed fashion-- allowing children and family members to explore, relax, and just be themselves.  Please allow 1-3 hours for your session for this process to be its best!

The process starts with a phone consultation where we will discuss all the elements and options of your personalized session to achieve a series of unique portraits that you will treasure for a lifetime.

The session itself can be as short as 1 hour or as long as 3 hours.

A $100 non-refundable retainer (deducted from your session fee) is required within 5 days of booking your session in order to reserve your appointment. The balance of the session fee is due the day of the session.

All sessions are for 1-3 persons in your immediate family ($25 per each additional person).

2010 PORTRAIT & DIGITAL PACKAGE PRICES (Minimum Order is $200)

Our portrait prices are very affordable and start at $35 for a 5x7 Portrait for ala carte pricing. We also offer several discounted packages and exceptional quality Wall Portraits, Canvas Portraits, Albums, PhotoBooks, DVD Presentations and more. All prints are professionally printed by the nation's top professional photographer lab (Millers) on heavy weight archival photographic materials and coated for optimal protection.

Custom Pro Retouching (AirBrushing) is Included FREE. And all packages include both a Color and Black & White version of each image.

You decide the level of retouching you would like. All final images are masterfully retouched per your individual requests. Retouching Options: color changes, wrinkle removal, digital tan, teeth whitening, skin smoothing, digital makeup, tattoo, stretch mark removal, natural enhancements, hair effects, body sculpting, body hair removal, anti-aging, object removal, background editing, skin tone improvement, digital pedicure/manicure,high quality airbrushing, body shape contouring, acne removal and more.


PACKAGES & PRODUCTS

We offer several affordable Print, Photo Book and Digital Portrait Packages and Ala-Carte prices starting at $35 (for 5x7 Archival Prints). And for the "Do-It-Yourself" crowd we also offer special "DIY DIGITAL" Packages that include Digital Negatives, Image Retouching and Unlimited Reprint Rights. We also offer Customized Packages matched to your individual needs and budget.


MINIMUM ORDER

Because of the time and expense involved in preparing and retouching your images and creating your galleries there is a required minimum order of $200.


MUSEUM MOUNT CANVAS PORTRAITS

True works of art! Canvas portraits are printed on archival high-grade artists #9 canvas, museum stretcher-mounted (the image wraps around the edges), and ready for framing. These stunning pieces of art come ready to hang and no frame is necessary. These masterful portraits are truly an heirloom and an artful statement for your home. Prices start at $175.


GIFT CERTIFICATES

What better way to splurge and treat your loved ones than with a fabulous gift certificate! These can be personalized with your special touch. Gift certificates are perfect for special occasions such as Valentine's Day, Birthdays, Mother's Day, your graduating senior, maternity, and newborn sessions. These can be purchased for any dollar amount and will be applied towards a paid session fee and prints.


GREETING CARDS

Custom greeting cards incorporating one or several images from your session as well as other images and text can be designed at a fee of $90 for 25 5x7 cards, including design fee, and $60 for each additional set of 25 cards. Parchment envelopes are included in this price. Coordinating pearlescent or vellum envelopes in a variety of colors may be ordered for a small additional fee.


PORTRAIT STORYBOARDS

Your favorite images from your session can be artfully woven into a beautiful montage, incorporating your portraits with graphic elements and text to create a unique work of art.


CUSTOM TOTES

With over a dozen bags to choose from, Photo Bags are the perfect way to show off your favorite photos. Pick out your favorite picture, select your favorite style of handbag, and choose your interior colors. From there, we take your ideas and craft a customized handbag just for you. Ask about additional upgrades including leather trim, photo enhancing, collages and images on both sides of the bag.


KEEPSAKE COFFEE TABLE BOOK

All images from your session laid out and bound in a hardcover book. Pages are thick and satin to the touch, printed on a high quality press. A great conversation piece and the perfect gift for family. Each book will consist of 20-30 pages.


FINE ART INTERPRETATION

Your portrait can be transformed into a stunning oil or watercolor painting on artists #9 canvas or watercolor paper. Those who purchase this work of art have the option of purchasing the fine art image on high-quality note cards.


CUSTOM FRAMING SERVICES

We offer full-service custom framing for your convenience. We can help you select the perfect mats and frame treatment to showcase your prints and complement your decor.


IMAGES FOR WEB & ONLINE ADS

Master Retouching to your exact specs is $25 per image. TERMS & POLICIES

Your proofs will be ready in 1-2 weeks (after your session) for online viewing. You will be provided with a password protected gallery to share with your family and friends. Payment must be collected before the order is processed.


* All ordered images are kept on file for one year.
* Unordered images are purged within 30 days of ordering session.
* The session fee is due at the time of booking.
* Missed sessions will forfeit $100 of the session fee.
* Rescheduled appointments will be subject to current pricing at time of booking.
* Sessions may be rescheduled due to illness or inclement weather at no charge.
* Due to the custom nature of portrait orders, all sales are final.
* Payment must be made in full at time of order.
* Prices are subject to change at any time.
* All images copyrighted by David Trotter Photography--Conscious Portraits.
* It is illegal to scan, copy, or reproduce them without consent.


REFERRAL POLICY

Current clients receive a $75 print credit for every friend referred.
